When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and billing information through our authentication provider (Clerk) and payment processor (Paddle). We do not store passwords directly.

2. Contract Data & Zero Retention

When you upload a contract PDF, we temporarily extract the text content for AI analysis. The original PDF and extracted text are permanently deleted immediately after analysis. We never store your contract documents. Only the structured analysis results (summary, risk flags, scores) are saved to your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the ContractSnap service
• To process your contract analyses
• To manage your account and billing
• To send transactional emails (e.g., lawyer handoff)
• To improve our service and fix issues

4. Third-Party Services

• Clerk— authentication and user management
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI-powered contract analysis
• Paddle— payment processing
• Cloudflare R2 — temporary file storage (auto-deleted after processing)
• Resend— transactional email delivery
• Neon— database hosting
• Vercel— application hosting

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit. All contract data is processed ephemerally and not persisted beyond the analysis session. Database access is restricted and monitored.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data and analysis history
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your analysis results
• Opt out of non-essential communications
